Almost anything by Preston Sturges, Billy Wilder, Orson Welles, Rouben Mamoulian, Akira Kurosawa, Frank Capra, Aleksandr Ptushko, Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Majid Majidi, Ernst Lubitsch, Sergei Paradjanov, Abbas Kiarostami, Ingmar Bergman, William Wyler.
Too many to list - love zany comedies, musicals, Shakespeare, opera and films with something to say or nothing to say.
Music
Bach and Beck and nearly everything in between.
School attended
Parochial schools and universities in US and UK.
Degree
PhD

Harmony House, a teaching centre and the first multi-faith Sacred Space in the UK. Classical Persian and modern features combined by architect F. Alexander-Sefre. (Chains as drain pipes are virtually unknown in England.)
Interestingly, the Sacred Space has been adopted by the community and is used for ceremonies as diverse as Hindu weddings and Muslim funerals.
The water from the site drains into a well to be distributed through the sacred garden.

Interesting, brief talk from Stewart Brand on squatter cities. TED also features another talk from a man who spent 2 years living in such cities and who believes that they ARE the cities of the future.

I like his 'can do' spirit - and he reminds us how little it takes to make a difference, if we have the will to do so:
